Our progress continues on the giant metal version of Robbie the Rhino for Art In Place. Luis is shown here with a scale test of the leg mocked-up in foam insulation board. If all goes as planned the finished version should be installed before the end of the month (October). Photos to follow.

Dog Catches Car

Like the dog that caught the car, we’re asking “what now?” after Charlottesville’s Art in Place organization selected Rambling Robbie for the 2010 public sculpture exhibit.

Really Big Rhino

Luis and I have submitted the Rambling Robbie design to the local Art in Place competition. If selected we’ll build a larger than life Rambling Robbie from plate steel and display it in Charlottesville for the next year.
Stay tuned, this could get intersting.
